I absolutely love this thrumming technique from @jinyijewelry_factory .
Taking a simple nail and holding a wider strip of fine polishing abrasive that’s been cut into smaller strips to thrum — which is a technique of polishing inside small details — is just so smart.
It’s such a low-tech, high-control way to refine the inside of pierce-work, engraving, galleries, and all those tight spaces where larger polishing tools can’t quite reach. A great reminder that sometimes the simplest bench solutions are the most effective. Plus having multiple strips is a great idea because they can wear down pretty quickly depending on the type. This would be a great technique with micro-finishing film!

#jewelrymakingtips #SandingTips #PolishingTips #jewelrymakingcommunity #ThrummingTips
