Here is an awesome tip for your soldering station from @metalwerxstudio - “The lip of the soldering table is steel – the magnetic part is in the handle! We bought 2” heat shrink tube and rare earth magnets. To create the magnetic handle you heat the tube with a heat gun to trap the magnet between the shrink tubing and the torch handle (take off torch tip to slide on tubing). NOTE: Positioning is key – you need to make sure that the magnet is oriented properly and not in the way of the knob/torch valve (and hanging from the soldering table the way you want). Also, if the rubber wears down, it’s cheap and easy to replace. We didn’t want to glue magnets on because that didn’t seem like a great idea near the torch so this provided a good solution!” I saw this when I took a class at @metalwerxstudio back in June and I knew I had to share with you all!
