For this week’s
#tooltalktuesday I wanted to talk about a simple and inexpensive tool that is incredibly useful - my brass brush. I use mine to shine and clean my tiny hammered lines! All I do is add a drop of hand soap and some water and the little wires get right into those hard to reach spots. On a mirror finished piece a brush like this will give a “brushed” appearance on the surface of the metal. I own a few and some have longer and softer wires but this one has firmer wires and it more heavy duty and it’s become my favorite! I’d love to hear how others use their brass brushes, I’ve been using one as far back as college and it’s a fairly common place bing to use but I’m sure some people are unfamiliar ☺️ so tell us your favorite type and how you use them!
