I love this soldering surface that elevates your work from @lierreworks - “This modified mesh makes a great replacement for the nest of steel wire I’ve been using to solder my bezels on. I cut it to the size I wanted with modified shears and used parallel pliers to bend the edges down, using the lines of mesh as my guide to make sure that it is bent evenly. It works great on top of my charcoal block where I can direct my flame underneath my piece and heat it from the bottom. As I do this the charcoal radiates my heat back up onto my piece and helps the solder flow evenly.” Thank you for sharing but also wanted to shoutout @iron.mama.of.mercy for sending me this post. When you all help me find tips I am SO GRATEFUL. I probably don’t say this enough but this page would be nothing without all of you! If you did not share your tips and knowledge there would be no Metalsmith Society. So grateful for you all! 😘 #metalsmithsociety #sharingjewelrytips
