@jonmryan - “Alex Tools dividers vs Starrett vs Euro Tool German made dividers. As soon as I had them (Alex Tools) in my hands and compared them to my old dividers I forgot all about the price. The joint at the top of the Alex Tools dividers is way more solid and doesn't flex side to side like the other dividers. This isn't so noticeable when dividers are open wide, but when they are only opened like 1mm that flex can totally throw off your measurements.” Thank you for sharing this 🙏🏻 My dividers are cheap and don’t work that well and it’s something to think about as I delve into more and more stone setting and fabrication - the Alex Tools are $155 FYI (I immediately googled them 🤣)
