@sawyerrileyjewelry - “since ferrous and non-ferrous metals should be separated before refining, I keep a magnet inside a paper towel attached to my lamp and I just hover it over my sweeps before sweeping them into my little container. Then I just hold the paper towel over my trash can and lift the magnet out, which causes the staples, tiny sawblade fragments or any file shavings to go right into the trash and I don’t have to attempt to pull them off of the magnet myself.
