Love this solution for polishing the inside of small spaces from @alastaircallumjewellery - “I braided some very thin string (the string is 3 ply cotton, 0.04in or 1mm thick) and superglued about 1cm of it where the near end would be before I cut it, so I had something like a shoelace end which I threaded through the loop (of the piece) I used the green Luxi polishing compound for low rpm/hand polishing, rubbed on the braided string and moved the piece back and forth, pulling against the bits I sanded to polish. It worked really well and I got through 24 pieces before the string snapped.” Thank you also to @leah_gurr_jewellery who also reached out about this same technique (this is a HOT tip people 🔥🔥🔥) she made the excellent point that you can add or subtract as many strings as needed to fit into a space! Thank you both 🙏🏻 #metalsmithsociety #polishingtips #benchjewelrytip #polishingjewelry #jewelrytechniques #benchjeweler #jewelryfinishing #jewelrytools #diyjewelrytools
