Here is a tool maintenance tip and some excellent advice from @purifiedbill -“Gotta keep those pushers clean! just like hammers, if you have dings or scratches on your bezel pushers, you will get dings and scratches on your bezels! I use 1200 grit sand paper/sanding belt to polish up my pushers. But really its up to the user. The more polished they are the more they slide. Using something like 600 grit will make it more grippy if you like to roll the pusher rather than slide it!
Also it’s great to have as many shapes, sizes and types as you can. Steel, brass, delrin, wood, try everything you can think of! I can't tell you how many times a setting wasn't going well and I switch pushers and boom perfect!” Thanks so much Bill! So important to examine your tools and if they are damaged or in need of a polish, handle that! 🙌 #metalsmithing #jewelrytools #jewelrymakingtipoftheday #bezelsetting #bezelsettingtips
