MERRY CHRISTMAS ππ I hope everyone has a AWESOME holiday ππ»π For this
#tooltalktuesday β Iβm showing off my
@maunindustries Parallel Flat Nose Pliers with Soft Grip Jaws (and return spring) I. Am. Obsessed. I use these pliers every time I have to close a ring (Iβll typically use my
@pepetools_usa ring bender and then this gets them closed for soldering without marking the metal.) A little tip on that, I will often push the ring edges past each other to create some tension, so I can get the ring to close really nice. Then I will saw through my ends to get it super tight! π Iβm really impressed by the quality of the pliers and my favorite thing is how wide they open (sorry I donβt have the exact width π€¦ββοΈ) but they open far more than other brands of plier Iβve used in the past. In addition to closing rings, I use mine to adjust handmade earring wires, twist earring posts and any time I need to grip without marking and scratching my metal! I also find myself reaching for these if I have a plastic cap on something like super glue that needs to be loosened but I donβt want to crush it! The spring in the handle just makes it easier to open and close and I donβt have to use a death grip! I consider a pair of pliers with a soft jaws essential in the studio as you will use it often! You can buy these Maun pliers directly from them and they sell them at a bunch of retailers! Do you have a pair? Do you have some use for them I havenβt thought of?!? Let me know, and again have an amazing holiday! π
