Here is an organization method from @lyndehowesilverworks - “Nearly everything in my studio is on wheels so I can focus on different projects at a whim. Figuring out I could afix wheels to this plastic crate was game changing. I’ve included a photo with arrows pointing to the receiving hole for the wheels were I to want the crate to roll on it’s side, but they are the same as what I used to insert the wheels into on the bottom of the crate. The crate accommodates hanging files in which I keep my collection of round and pattern wire organized. I have marked the gauge on each hanger and package the wire in sealable bags marked with “Fine,” “Sterling,” or “Argentium.” All the pattern wire and ring shank wire lives in the back, along with a hanging file containing my stash of old sterling flatware (yep, there was room for that too!) Behind those lives the variety of wire solder, well apart from the smaller ‘regular’ wire that lives near the front of the crate. Helps prevent mixups :-)
The rolling crate has just enough room to tuck under my soldering station, opposite the bench with bench pin. Need wire? No problem! I just swing my left hand down and pull out the crate to quickly select what I seek.” Ohhhhhh I really like this Lynne! Thank you so much for sharing! Also this tip was sent in September 🙊 sometimes it takes me awhile to put something on the feed but I always appreciate EVERYTHING you all send me, if you sent me something awhile back it doesn’t hurt to follow up with me as many of my DMs became inaccessible once they were inactive for thirty days. 😬 Email is fabulous for that reason!
