Here is an amazing #diy brass pusher from @thegarrisonjewelry - “Why buy pre-made tools when you can make them in 10 minutes? All you need for this brass pusher are some wood handles (purchased from @riogrande) and a solid brass ceiling hook. Brass is slightly softer than steel, so there is less risk of damage to both your bezel and stone. This can also be used as a flush stone setting tool if you grind the end to a rounded point. Pre-drill a hole into the handle that’s the same diameter as the hook (not the thread), and then screw in the hook until it’s firmly secure. Mark where you want to cut the hook, saw it off, and then sand the end to take off the hard edges. The texture of your bezel pusher transfers to your piece, so if you like clean work be sure to polish the end. For less chance of slipping leave a slight texture and clean up the bezel afterward. And there you go!” This tip is everything!!!! I love a brass pusher! Thank you so much for sharing!!! #metalsmithsociety #diyjewelrytools
