Here is a tip to gently stretch a ring from @southkonasilver -
“Sharing this for @metalsmithsociety ! Using a Swaging Tool / Pipe Tube Expander to size up ring bands can come in handy without breaking the bank, super nice for on the go too. Just go slow and check the size in between squeezes
It can work on 16g and thicker, I have used 8g half round. I do think it can be used on just about anything, I just recommend that when doing it pay attention to the solder joints, rotate the ring around between squeezes and only do soft light handed pulses. I ordered mine from Amazon for $16”
