Here is a tip for holding pieces that *can* be submerged in acetone. A few of my @grstools instructors advised me to save little blocks of wood for work holding. You then superglue your work. It holds really well and can withstand the heat of drilling for stone setting. Also a great way to hold something tricky without an expensive fixture. We discussed this at my recent class with @tuggledesigns - “you want to avoid porous stones such as opal and turquoise (oiled emerald is also a no) but a majority of stones are safe. Many stone cutters use glue to secure the stones as they work.” Huge thank you to Matt and my buddy @johnnyoro as well.
