Here is a tip for capturing bench sweeps from @serendipiastudio - “My jeweler’s bench has a pull-out drawer for sweeps. I added a piece of freezer paper to the bottom of the drawer. When I’m finished sawing, filing, etc. I just roll up the freezer paper and dispense the silver filings/sweeps into a small container. So much easier than trying to take out the entire drawer to access the metal bits! Another great use for freezer paper: I like a clean workspace, so I also use freezer paper on top of my bench work surface. I tape it down and it gives me a tidy place to work. When the paper gets dirty, I toss it (into dirty refining bucket) and tape on a fresh sheet.” Love this, I find keeping my space tidy (when I actually do it) makes such a huge difference. And of course anything that helps us save every single particle of metal for the refiner! Thanks for sharing with us Susannah! #cleaningyourbench #reifningmetal #benchsweeps
