Here is a tip for making tiny jump rings from @machi_jewellery - “You can use masking tape to create a tab to hold on to a small coil of wire when sawing it to make jump rings. Here, I am using 0.5mm wire to make a small coil. Wrap the masking tape around the coil to create a tab, or a sort of handle, to make it easier to hold. I used a 6/0 saw blade because the wire is quite fine. Put wax on the blade to make cutting smoother. Keep the back of the coil over the wood of the benchpeg to avoid cutting the
other side of the coil. For the same reason, keep your saw blade vertical. Towards the end, saw gently and slowly to avoid getting the blade stuck/pinched in the last cut. Peel open the masking tape to take out the jump rings.” This is a great tip and I love the video, thank you for taking the time to send! Machi is a teacher in the UK (she is on my class list) and she has a book coming out in February! More on that later :) #jumpringmaking #sawingjumprings #tinyjumprings #howtomakejewelry #jewelryteacher
