Here is a measuring tip from @deehebarddesigns - “Here are pictures of some of the things I use for measuring. All of these have inches and metric. A caliper is certainly the most accurate way to measure, but these work for a lot of what I do.
1. I have a measuring tape along the edge of my bench. I think I got it from Rio. It’s a quick way to measure out chain for necklaces or any wire I might want to use for a piece.
2. The little 6” ruler is easy to take with you on the go, or easy to grab. The back side has a ring and bracelet gauge on the back side.
3. The pink measuring tape is from the fabric store (got mine at Hobby Lobby for less than $2). I love this one because it’s retractable, always easy to grab, measure out a wrist, show someone where a necklace will fall. It’s awesome
4. The last one in the package I just got at Hobby Lobby. It’s similar to the one on the edge of the bench.” Gluing or taping a measured along the edge of a table is so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to share with us!” Thanks for sharing this with us! It’s such a helpful reminder to have some measuring options while we work and I the idea of having a measuring tape at the edge of a bench or table!
