Here is a sweat soldering tip from @lainebenthalljewelry - “Melt the solder to the smaller pieces first, preferably with a flat side so that it will lie flush and connect without any gaps. Once the solder is melted to the smaller part, heat the larger piece it will be attached to before positioning it. Once it’s in place, heat the entire piece from the bottom so that the solder will flow from the smaller piece onto the larger base. Keep the small part in position using a tweezer or solder pick until the solder seam has been established to help prevent a solder slide. Remember, solder follows the heat so use your torch to direct it!
