@artyrtyrkerson - “Quick tip for ring sizing: after cutting through the shank and opening it up to the proper size (I usually leave it half or quarter size smaller so I can file it nicely), I round down the edges evenly. I Pre-curve the insert and file a groove into the two ends so when I insert it the two ends of the shank hold it with a SLIGHT tension (the slight is important as too much tension can squeeze the insert during heating!) And you don't have to use any binding wire. I solder it with half of it under water as I want to protect the stones from heat!” Thank you so much for taking the time to send this to me Artyr!
