Here is a soldering tip from @silverdayturquoise - “This is what I call my soldering oven. It's a way to contain, and hence better control, the heat from my torch, and I use it a lot, whether I'm doing jewelry repairs or fabrication. The construction couldn't be easier: you just use parts of an old brazing board and stack or lean them around the item to be soldered. You can see part of a charcoal block in my video, but you can also use your third hand as a brace for taller projects. Whatever you use, you are concentrating the heat, plus it can accentuate the color of the hot metal for more delicate operations, especially for those of us, who have what GIA calls a red/green color deficiency...aka: red/green color blind, as it used to be known. Whatever your intended purpose, it works well!.” Thank you so much for sharing this Dayton! Fantastic set up! #solderingstation #solderingjewelry #fabricatingjewelry #charcoalblock #soldering
