Here is a tip for setting super thick bezels sponsored by @turquoise_moose (and featuring one of their gorgeous turquoise bars) Once you have your setting created you will want to chamfer the edge. This is done by filing a 45 degree angle on the top edge of your setting. To do this I started with a 1 cut file to rapidly remove material, then a 3 cut file and then I used sanding sticks 320-800 grit to get the bezel smooth again. I use this technique when working with 1mm+ wire (this setting was made with 2mm thick wire.) Thick bezels will need to be hammer set, this action of chamfering the bevel will remove enough material so we can push down the bezel with a clean look. I hope you found this technique helpful!
