Here is a soldering tip from @tkiplinger - “When I’m soldering a jump ring onto a chain, I wrap the chain behind a third arm; the metal in the tweezer provides just enough of a heat sink to protect the chain from the flame. When I’m extra-worried that the chain might solder itself together, I also coat the chain links with yellow ochre, which "dirties" the solder in the links and prevents it from reflowing. Yellow ochre is a powdered pigment used in paint; just mix a small amount with a couple of drops of distilled water to make it brush-able.” Thank you so much for sharing this technique with us Teresa!
