For this week’s #tooltalktuesday I am showing off my Haymaker Sawframe designed by @lionpunchforge and created by @pepetools_usa This beautiful saw is made out of a special aluminum alloy for it’s weight, durability and hardness. What I love about it: this frame feels balanced as I am sawing, the designer considered a perfect center of gravity when designing it. The “throat” of the frame which is the depth, measures 5” which allows me to cut and maneuver larger sheet easily. It’s also easy to set the tension of the saw blade, I just use a gentle push with my hip into my bench. I love these thoughts from the designer Chris - “I wanted to take a page from my blacksmithing experience and create a saw that had the balance like a sword. Equally I wanted to make a tool that was designed around the fundamentals of sawing. We are taught to keep the saw straight up and down when sawing yet many frames are front or back heavy. The attention to creating a sword balance accomplished this task! We view the saw frame not as a tool but as a tool holder (saw blade are the tool)the more accurate you make your tool holder the the less interface from other variables.” Love how much thought was put into this saw frame and they come in fun colors, you can purchase from our friends Pepetools and your purchase helps support the page and small business @lionpunchforge the link is in my profile! #affiliate #SAWFRAME #PEPETOOLS #JEWELERSTOOLS #JEWELERSSAWFRAME #sawingjewelry
