After affixing new gas and/or oxygen tanks to your torch, always take a clean paintbrush and paint a solution of gently mixed soapy water on all of the torch connections. Watch for bubbles - they’ll tell you if you have a leak and where you need to tighten up your flashback arrestors or your regulators!” Thank you SO much for sharing. Gas leaks are a primary concern when working with torches. If you are uncomfortable with your torch please take it to your local welding supply (ideally where you have your tanks filled) and speak to the professionals there. You can voice your concerns and ask questions :) I encourage everyone to educate themselves and gain confidence around their torch, we can do it!
