Here is a wax carving tip from
@moonandforge - “For wax carvers frustrated with the time it takes to file or sand off machine marks on new waxes, use Sheetrock screen instead of sandpaper (which can put tiny bits of carbide in your wax, causing pitting and more cleanup ). Just sand down the face with lines and marks until smooth enough to start carving. The wax doesn’t gum up the holes and it takes half the time of filing or using sandpaper. I found this product in the paint section of the hardware store, next to the sandpaper...don’t spend half hour looking in the drywall section like I did 🙄 The 120 grit gets the job done in less than a minute.” Love to see wax working tips!!
