Here is a tip for holding little components while you sand from @fpwebster  - “Blutac is probably one of the best little helpers on my bench. I use it to pick up stones so they dont flick around the room - push stones into it so they stay put on my bench, but even better, when trying to sand a slippery round object, it provides great stickiness better than tape with no slipping and no residue.
