How to create a patina with sulfur from an egg from @missioncreekmetal - “
1. Take 1-2 eggs hard boiled depending on the size of your project. (For this one I just used 1 egg since it was a small ring).
2. Peel the shell off the egg, and mash the white part and yolk together in an airtight ziplock bag. and then add your jewelry piece!
3. Mix the egg and piece around together for a few mins, and then let the sulfur do the magic! You’ll notice a bronze color after just a couple mins. The longer you leave it in, the blacker it gets. It took about 10-12 mins to achieve the dark patina I have on this ring.” Thank you Auxie this is definitely the safest technique for making a dark patina on silver and you did a great job! #eggpatina #silverpatina #jewelrypatina
