Here is a #diytool from @sierrasilverstudio @sierrastonestudio - “This is my favorite DIY tool. It’s simple but mighty! With this tool, holding tiny pieces for filing/drilling/etc is easier, and the wood “jaws” are grippy but don’t mar the silver. The original came to me from a retiree that I met at the local lapidary club, and I love it so much I wanted to make spares.
This holder is made from a a peg style clothespin (with the ends trimmed flat), with a machine screw and a wing nut to clamp it shut. The hole is drilled midway down the slot, so the wood flexes a bit to squeeze together when the screw is tightened. It’s super handy, I use mine all the time!” This is GREAT! Thank you Sarah for sharing and she also sells these for $5 on her Etsy if you want to purchase one! Love this community! #filingjewelry #filing #benchpin #makingjewelry
