@theresaapplegatejewelry - “This method for tumbling chain is similar to other suggestions I found on the tip search page at metalsmith society. I used medicine cups from my junk drawer but you could use a sturdy plastic bottle sawed into a cylinder, maybe pvc pipe? I think the most important thing is that the tumbling media can easily reach all surfaces of the chain while still being secured around something to prevent tangling. I speculate cylinder shape of the medicine cup facilitates the rotary tumbling action… it’s working for me!” 🙌 Thanks so much Theresa for sending the tip and also following up about it!
