#tooltalktuesday You know those awesome 3M Radial Bristle Discs we use with out flex shafts?!? Well you can also get 3” ones to go on your polishing machine or bench lathe. These wheels are fantastic for removing oxides, creating a brushed finish (depending on the grit you use) or producing a high polish. What’s nice in general about Radial Bristle Discs is the abrasive is embedded so you don’t have to apply polishing compound to them. So they don’t produce as much of a mess and continuously give you a fresh cutting surface. I’m using my smaller Foredom Polishing Lathe here so the wheel is on a plastic tapered spindle mount available from
@ottofrei1930 but you can also purchase wheels that go on traditional polishing machines that come on a blue “hub” available from
