Here is a jump ring making tip from @lierreworks - ““Nylon jaw pliers are a great tool to have around the studio. One of my favorite things to use them for is to help me get really smooth, and tight coils with my @pepetools_usa jumpring maker.
I get my coil started like usual and then pinch the pliers firmly at the inside of it. You don’t need to move the pliers. As you turn the mandrel, they will automatically follow the line of the wire all the way to the end. In the process, it snugs the wire up to the mandrel nice and tight, and helps with anywhere that it might have twisted a bit.
Don’t worry about wearing grooves into your pliers. The jaws are replaceable when you need new ones.” Thank you Lierre! This is so helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to shoot the video!
