@pepetools_usa jumpring maker. I get my coil started like usual and then pinch the pliers firmly at the inside of it. You don’t need to move the pliers. As you turn the mandrel, they will automatically follow the line of the wire all the way to the end. In the process, it snugs the wire up to the mandrel nice and tight, and helps with anywhere that it might have twisted a bit. Don’t worry about wearing grooves into your pliers.
