Here is an awesome sand casting tutorial including a nifty knitting-needle technique for creating prongs directly in Delft Clay™ from @charliebelle.com.au - “I created a four-prong setting for a faceted oval Peridot pendant using sand casting techniques, including the addition of beach sand for added texture! The flask is divided, marked and then, using a rounded-tip knitting needle, cavities are created which become prongs once the piece is cast. Nifty indeed! This technique can be used for cabochon stones as well as faceted." Thank you Dane & Rach for sending me this! It’s also a fantastic idea to carve wax and use that for your sand casting, the possibilities are endless! #sandcasting #jewelrytutorials #makingsilverjewelry
