For this #tooltalktuesday I wanted to show off the @grstools Slide & Lock. I would recommend the “Original Tall” which allows for two mounting plates to adjust up and down with 8” of movement. Mine is actually the “Tru-axis” version which is more optimal for working under a microscope but allows a little less vertical travel. Why would this tool generally be helpful? Better ergonomics at your bench, being able to quickly adjust your bench pin or Benchmate or vise so that it’s at the optimal height for you. For those of us working under a microscope it is a big time saver to be able to quickly adjust the height of your work area. It was designed by master Bench Jeweler Jeff Mathews and it certainly helps with efficiency. Hopefully this tool is helpful to some in our community! You can find it at @ottofrei1930 and use code MMSZ to save a little and support the page!
