Here is a tool modification from @atelier_hanki - “Here’s a tip on how to make a cabochon cut stone stay in the ring with the tension of the metal (silver in this case). A regular ball bur needs to be ground in half to allow you to mill the metal to the correct shape. A 2mm ball bur has been used here and the moonstone is 6mm in diameter. Once you’ve got the opening in the right shape, the stone can be set in place so that the metal’s own tension holds the stone firmly in place.” Love this!
