Here is a tip for putting on a file handle from @marta.oms - “Do you know that files are sold without handle? Being able to use comfortable files to work depends on knowing how to put a handle on them. I learned it at Jewelry school when I was a student and for me it’s one of the first things I do when I buy new files.

The trick is to heat the part you need to put on the handle with the torch, and then when you have it hot you put on the wood handle. This way the hot metal burn the wood handle inside and fix it to the file so it don’t move.

A few weeks ago I bought a couple of new files and still hadn’t found a moment to put the handle on them... and here’s how I did it! 🤘🏻
