Here is a patina tip from @thenomadicpine - ““Patina is one of my favourite ways to make my landscapes come to life. It’s great for adding depth, accents, and making elements like twisted wire pop!
I use Jax Silver Blackener and a fine-tip watercolour pen to apply my patina. Once finished applying I put it in some baking soda and water to neutralize. Then give it a good soap + water clean.
Once dry, I give it a once over with a 3M Radial Bristle Disc (400 grit) or some fine steel wool. This takes away excess patina but leaves the accents in those harder to reach areas.
** Jax Silver Blackener is a strong chemical so I recommend wearing a respirator, eye glasses and gloves when coming into contact with it! **” thank you Kiera for sending me your tip at tips@metalsmithsociety.com I absolutely love featuring members of our community and their tips/techniques/organizational ideas. So don’t be shy!! #patina #watercolorbrush
