Here is a tip for closing square stock, flat jump rings from @quenchmetalworks<br>
“In my book, there’s no better way to close jump rings. First I use a brass hammer to flatten the jump rings. Next I use a bezel setting punch that almost fits over the jump ring (too big a punch and the punch will hit the steel block so be sure to test that out. I never use a steel hammer when tapping the punch ends as the steel hammer will eventually flare the punch’s end and the punch will no longer fit in the setting hand tool. Unless the flare is ground down. But who wants to do that?”
