Here is a soldering tip from @meritmade - “To solder these spoon handles to their scoops, I used a nice flat solderite pad. After chasing the scoop around for a bit, the easiest solution was to set up a few t-pins. Nothing fancy, just regular old pins from the office supply store. They press easily into the solderite pad. To hold the handle in place I’m using my third hand. It’s not “holding” the handle, but more applying a downward pressure. I sanded the end of each handle perfectly with a half round file to fit to the scoop, so a bit of pressure was all that was needed to keep it in place. Of course, I had my solder pick handy to make sure everything stayed where it was supposed to. I was able to reuse this set up over and over for each spoon without have to reset or problem solve for each one.” As jewelers we constantly have to problem solve and figure out what kind of set up each soldering job will need, I love this set up! Thank you for letting me share! 😃 I really hope it is helpful to others! #SolderingJewelry #SolderingTips #Soldering #MakingJewelry
