Here is a tip for repairing a hole, or pitting in a casting. You will need a piece of wire and a drill bit that are the same size. For this example I used 18g wire which measures 1.02mm so I used a 1mm drill bit. I ideally want to use the smallest wire possible that will cover the imperfection. I then drill into the imperfection just enough so that I can insert the wire a little bit, solder with hard solder as it is least likely to show and then sand! Super easy but helpful when you need to make a fix.
