This bench started with a solid 1-1/2" thick butcher-block top made of select grade maple. The legs, top trim, bottom trim, drawer faces, face frames and arm supports are solid wood and the side and back panels are made of cabinetmaker quality maple-veneered plywood and look beautiful. It is the sturdiest, most gorgeous bench I’ve ever laid eyes on! They are made in Chico, California start to finish by professional cabinetmakers. If you get one of these benches it’s game-over, you have a bench that will last a lifetime and be passed on to another jeweler. An heirloom! The details on it are amazing, I LOVE the steel lined, curved catch tray! It’s super easy to clean but also means if you solder at your bench it won't burn up if you have a soldering accident. The bank of drawers is amazing and includes a top drawer you can lock and an integrated bur tray (drilled for 3/32" shanks burs!) You have two arm rests, a mandrel hole for both your smaller mandrels and your standard ring mandrel. One of my favorite features is the flush, hardened steel work anvil located directly behind the bench pin. I’ve always had the issue with my other workbenches that they were not sturdy enough to really hammer on and this one is STURDY. @ottofrei1930 also customized mine to include a GRS® BenchMate® Mounting Plate, this is an add-on customization that I highly recommend!
