Here is a tip for when you place gemstones in your ultrasonic from (SOUND ON if you want to hear him explain it 😁) @refraction_manufacturing - “Could save you a lot of money listening to how we clean colored stones in the ultrasonic. If your ultrasonic is to hot or has a very strong transducer you could shatter a nice large colored gem after your final polish so leaving it soak for 10 minutes and only turning the sonic on for a short period of time will reduce the risk. We should add that if your sonic is to hot and you soak a colored gem rincing it under cold water to fast could result in thermal shock *gem shattering* PS! DO NOT EVER PUT EMERALDS IN THE ULTRASONIC! Most emeralds have an oil treatment that the sonic will remove and no one wants that 😅” Thank you so much Jake! I definitely learned something from this post that will save me in a future scenario! 🙌 #usinganultrasonic #jewelryultrasonic #til #polishingjewelry
