Here is a tip for applying a pattern or design to your metal from @lutrisjewellery - “I’ve used a few different methods for applying a pattern/layout onto sheet. Super glue does work, but it’s not my favourite to remove and double sided tape is fantastic, but I find some brands can be a bit “gummy”. I moved to Latvia a couple of years ago, and discovered this tape: Tesa Precision Sensitive Low Tack Masking Tape (bit of a mouthful!), in a hardware store, which I’d never seen before, although it’s available online in the U.K and U.S. I’ve found I can actually tape this directly to my design, trace it, peel it off and stick it to my metal sheet - it doesn’t peel of my watercolour and it keeps its tack without being sticky. This has become one of those things I always have at my workbench. Hope this helps people out.” Thank you so much for emailing me this fabulous tip! As Lizzie mentioned you can try to find this tape at your local hardware store, I also added to the Amazon Storefront in a new list called “Tape” because we actually have a bunch of tapes that people are using and loving! Send me your tape tips and hope everyone has an amazing day! #metalsmithsocietytapetip #jewelryfabricationtip #sawingjewelry #jewelrysawingtips
