Here is a tip for shaping prong settings from @moonhoney.jewelry - โHere's one of my favorite (and often overlooked) ways to use jett sett compound- if I'm working on a prong setting and need to clean it up/shorten it, I'll embed the prong side in a small lump of compound. This way I don't accidentally bend the prongs, poke holes in my fingers, or smush the existing setting. It also helps me keep everything flush and even. It's one of those simple 'duh' concepts that eluded me for a long time. Hope this one is helpful!โ Thank you Melise! I love the idea of using Jett Basic to hold things for sanding and polishing in addition to setting! Send me your prong setting tips!
