Last week I received a subscription box of tools from
@benchtooljunkies (πππ»ππΌ) and it included a sheet of Tuff Break Film (urethane) which Iβd never heard of. You can cut it to any size you need to cushion and protect your work from scratching and distorting. I used it while stamping 925 on the backside of my piece and it prevented the other side from getting all smashed and distorted ( the worst π«) I also cut a piece to use in my vise to prevent my flexshaft from being scratched, It worked like a piece of leather would but less bulky (and I donβt have any leather π so Iβd been using nothing up until this point) I was on a roll so I also used it to protect a wax ring while I was filing it on my bench pin. Thank you
@benchtooljunkies for putting me on to this material - for all the tool lovers out there itβs is a monthly subscription box of jewelers tools and each month is different, this box included a
@vogmask_usa mask, a
@grobetusa half round mini file, a hybrid opal from
@phoenixrisinggemshop a silver orchid from
@castingdirty and the Tuff Brake Film was provided by
