I find they last MUCH longer than the silicone and pumice wheels. They are called “greenies” and “brownies” and are actually used by dentists. The brown is equivalent to a black silicone and the green is equivalent to inbetween a blue and pink. It gives a high polish but not as high as a polishing compound. The green is stone safe, but the brown is not. I’ve only ever used them on gold and silver so can’t speak for platinum or anything else.” She purchased them at Otto Frei.
