Itβs time to talk tools! #tooltalktuesday (sounds so much better π€£ than Saturday) I wanted to talk about my Miter Cutting Vise & Jigs today. I have owned this one for over a decade and used it countless times. You can place wires, rods, tubing and strips of sheet inside this vise and file them to 90 (2nd photo) or 45 degrees (3rd photo). It is advised not to use your nicest files because they may make contact occasionally with the jig. Whenever I make tube settings I file the top of the tubing nice and flat in here first before cutting off a piece, it starts me off with one side nice and flat. Works awesome! They also come with one or two pieces (depending on which you buy) to set it up as a jig for cutting pieces the same length (4th photo which I borrowed from @riogrande ππ»π) I would love to hear how you use yours and any other tips you may have! #jewelrytools #jewelrymakingtip #benchjeweler #metalsmithsociety
