If you’d like to create a gorgeous rounded edge on a ring use this tip from @petercat_jewelry - “I was introduced to this tool in a printmaking class, where we used it to bevel the edges of our plates. It occurred to me I could do this with the thick sheet I use for rings. It has significantly cut down filing and split-mandrel sanding time. One occasion I forgot to use it before soldering and was totally surprised to find out it worked better in it's rounded form! A lightbulb went off, it was introduced to me as a "pipe deburring tool", duh, pipes.💡🙃☺️ This one is from the plumbing section at a hardware store. I did however see it in a #eurotool catalog in the wax tool section. Whatever its name or specific purpose, it makes a cushion fit like no other.
