Here is a genius tip for all you wax carvers out there from @un_x_marked - “I use copper wire wrapped around the tip of my hot pen to get in to small details of my carvings or repair bubbles in wax’s that may happen during the injection process. It is also a really good way to repair fine connections or cracks in a clean and controlled way. You can also solder a piece of wire to the hot pen tip but I fine this works just as well and You can change it and use different gauge wire depending on what you need to work on. I recommend using hard wire as soft wire will bend too easily.” 🤯 thank you so much for sharing @un_x_marked (be sure to check her awesome wax carvings 😍) #metalsmithsociety #jewelrytipoftheday #waxcarving #lostwaxcastingprocess
