Here is a tip for your hands from @jill.herlands she uses these fabulous gloves while working. They protect her hands from forming callouses and getting minor cuts and abrasions while working but aren’t so bulky that they get in the way! “Make sure the gloves are Gloveworks and they’re available on Amazon (I will link in my TOOLS highlight 😄)- just make sure to say they should be more than 4mm thick (there are different colors but thickness is the most important).” These would also be great to use while handling flux and other chemicals. I tried to be better about glove use when I was pregnant, if you get used to them it becomes like they aren’t even there. Huge thank you to Jill (check out her work, she’s so talented). Email me your safety tips, I want to raise awareness about the various ways us smiths can better protect our bodies as we do the work we love! ✉️ corkie@metalsmithsociety.com #jewelrydesigner #jewelrymaking #metalsmithsociety
