Here is a recipe for hydrogen peroxide pickle (used on brass pieces in these images!) from
@lauren_jennifer_xoxo “Brass pickle recipe: 2/3 cup hydrogen peroxide 1/3 cup water 1 tbl spoon dry pickle Watch it close -it should take just a few minutes - and hold your nose - it’s stinky. Remove from peroxide pickle with plastic tweezers. Immediately rinse with water. After you can apply a sealer (like ProtectaClear) so the brass stays looking like gold. ✨ This pickle mix also works well to get rid of copper flashing on silver that has been pickled in contact with iron as well. Peroxide pickle doesn’t stay active for long so dispose of after use - just like you dispose of regular pickle.” Since this always comes up when we discuss pickle (no matter what type you use) store your spent pickle in a container and then bring to your local hazardous waste collection 😎 thanks for sharing 🙏
