For this week’s #tooltalktuesday I want to talk about the @grstools Benchmate System (I have the Encore QCX) I often get asked about mine and I wanted to give those interested an opportunity to ask questions! I invested in mine years ago and have never regretted it. You start with the Fixed Mounting Plate, this gets attached to your bench. If your bench isn’t the proper dimensions to support the Fixed Mounting Plate they also make an Optional Mounting Adapter and they also make an Adjustable Height Plate for those that for whatever reason want to work with everything in a lower position. The basic Benchmate packages come with the Benchmate (this is the tool that rotates on an arm and features a small clamp for holding your work!) it also comes with an arm rest which truthfully when I bought this years ago I had no idea what it was so I never used it 🤦♀️ (I will use and follow up with you all 🤣)This holder is incredible, I use it for securing rings and earrings for setting. It spins and rotates in many angles. For larger pieces I use my vise! As I’ve shown before I often use a compound like Jett Basic right on it! I love that it spins and I often utilize that spin while bezel setting in the vise. Lastly I have the bench pin. You can unscrew it and replace the pin when you need to or even use other pins (like the one from @flowmke2) The bench pin, vise and Benchmate slide on and off of the Mounting Plate in seconds, this is very convenient if you are wanting to switch from job to job. There are also so many other accessories: Inside Ring Holder, Wood Block, Pitch Bowl, and Saw Plates just to name a few. So its a tool that can grow with you, as your skills increase @aajewelrysupply has partnered with me to provide a 10% off all @grstools equipment😵 with code GRS10 you also get free shipping when you spend $200! If you already have this bad boy tell us about it and share your tips! 🙏 #metalsmithsociety #jewelrytools #grstools
